The verdict is in:  JOHNNY DEPP and AMBER HEARD defamed EACH OTHER . . . but Johnny came out on top. The jury said that Amber defamed Johnny three different times in the 2018 op-ed she wrote for the “Washington Post”.  So they awarded him $10 million in compensatory damages and $5 million in punitive damages. But the case was tried in Virginia, where punitive damages are capped at $350,000.  So Johnny only gets $10,350,000. However . . . the jury awarded Amber $2 million in compensatory damages because Johnny’s lawyer accused her and her friends of concocting a story for the cops.  So ultimately, Amber owes Johnny $8,350,000. Amber was obviously not happy with the verdict.  She issued a statement (LINK) saying, quote, “The disappointment I feel today is beyond words.  I’m heartbroken that the mountain of evidence still was not enough to stand up to the disproportionate power, influence and sway of my ex-husband.” She added, quote, “It sets back the clock to a time when a woman who spoke up and spoke out could be publicly shamed and humiliated.  It sets back the idea that violence against women should be taken seriously.” She also said it cost her the right to, quote, “speak freely and openly.” Obviously, Johnny had a different take (LINK).  Quote, “[Today] the jury gave me my life back.  It took 6 weeks and 60 witnesses. Also, Monica Lewinsky weighed in a piece for Vanity Fair published before the verdict, calling the trial “courtroom porn” fueled by an “addicting” algorithm.   She also wasn’t surprised to see Heard get most of the hate: “Having been on the receiving end of this kind of cruelty, I can tell you the scars never fade.”  

JADA PINKETT SMITH finally commented on the incident between WILL SMITH and CHRIS ROCK at the Oscars.  At the beginning of yesterday’s episode of “Red Table Talk (LINK).” The episode was centered on alopecia and the struggles that come with it . . . so she kinda had to mention the slap.

Well, Stephanie’s got a new hustle:  She’s now selling jars of her BOOB SWEAT.  And once again, she’s making THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS. She did have a bit of a supply chain issue. She’s selling the bottles for $300 or $500, depending on how much sweat is in them. Stephanie was averaging $5,000 a day just for laying by her pool and sweating . . . until that BEAR started hanging around her yard.  Now she’s behind on production and thinking about investing in an indoor sauna (LINK)

Kim Kardashian always with a good message to the kids. In an interview with the New York Times, Kim mentioned that she would go to great lengths to stay young-looking.   She said, “I’ll try anything. If you told me that I literally had to eat poop every single day and I would look younger, I might. I just might.” The interview came in conjunction with the announcement of Kim’s new skincare line, Skkn by Kim, which comes out later this month. 

Kim also says a ‘stalker’ has threatened to kill her boyfriend Pete Davidson (LINK) and is now asking for protection for her family. And included a copy of over 30 letters sent to her by an obsessed fan.  Including direct threats. “In these letters, (he) made numerous violent threats against Ms. Kardashian. In addition, he made numerous sexual comments regarding Ms. Kardashian and her partners. He further threatened that he would take actions that would cause Ms. Kardashian and her family to be imprisoned,” she wrote. Adding, “He threatened Ms. Kardashian’s family, referencing Ms. Kardashian’s children. More… “violent threats included threats that Ms. Kardashian was on his “hit list” and “must die soon,” and would “get death.” Plus, the person wrote, “Cause of your most recent action, I put you on my HIT LIST. If I ever see you in New York or your boyfriend in Los Angeles I will carry it out that day.” Adding, “Pete Must and Will Die this weekend and you next weekend.”

Is there a conspiracy being uncovered right in front of our very eyes? Is Garth Brooks actually a serial killer with approximately 200-300 bodies buried somewhere on his property? Or, is this just a hilarious internet joke?  Yes.  It’s a joke. It comes from comedians Tom Segura and his wife Christina Pazsitzky that caught fire. It started back in October of 2018 when Garth announced his Stadium Tour.  He announced the Big-Ass Stadium Tour with that bizarre-ass video about “getting physical playing music” and how much he “likes that.” They talked about it more on an episode of their “Your Mom’s House Podcast,” with Tom saying that Garth has to be a serial killer with bodies buried all over his yard, and then the rest was history. Again, it’s a joke. 

Wolfgang Van Halen (LINK) is not happy about a TV documentary special about the death of his father, Eddie Van Halen, calling it “pathetic and heartless” and wishing a pox on everyone who created the doc or even plans to tune in. “Fuck Reelz Channel, fuck everyone that works on this show, and fuck you if you watch it. Fucking disgusting trying to glamorize someone’s death from cancer,” tweeted Van Halen, 31. There was a Tweet about the  June 5 premiere of “Autopsy: The Last Hours Of Eddie Van Halen,” an episode of the ongoing series “Autopsy: The Last Hours of…”Under her user name @Wolfiesmom, Valerie Bertinelli, Eddie Van Halen’s former wife, responded to Wolfgang’s tweet with her own shorter thought on the special: “Good Christ this is disgusting.” An official description of the show promises: “If caught early Eddie’s disease had reasonable survival rates, so what exactly happened? Now renowned forensic pathologist Dr. Michael Hunter will analyze every detail of his life in order to piece together what else may have been going on in his body, ultimately leading to his untimely death.” The announcement noted “a darker undercurrent that would plague Eddie throughout his life” and makes note of his stints in rehab as well as alleged workaholism.

David Lee Roth teases that he’s coming out of retirement to take part in a Van Halen tribute tour.  While leaving the LA International Airport earlier this week, Roth said he was only “in the middle of his first retirement”, adding “There’s always a tomorrow for a singer, not so much for a trombone player these days.”  Roth joked “How many times did Rocky retire? Seven. I think No. 3 was my favorite? How many times did Rambo have to come out of retirement in order to make the sequel?”   When asked about the possibility of a tribute tour with guitarist Joe Satriani, Roth “retired” earlier than expected in January after his Las Vegas farewell residency was scrapped due to COVID

Yesterday the Cards and Padres wrapped up their series, and the Cardinals picked up the 5-2 afternoon win with Dakota Hudson picking up the win.  Paul Goldschmidt continued his tear.  He now has hits in his last 23 games.  Noland Arenado homered in the win.  Up next, the Cardinals are up in Chicago for a series against the Cubs.  First pitch is scheduled for 7:05PM tonight with Matthew Liberatore getting the start for the Cardinals.

Last night the New York Rangers lived up to their end of the bargain showing Edmonton and Colorado that they aren’t the only teams that can put up big numbers.  The Rangers got the Game 1 win over the Lightning with a 6-2 win.  Tonight it’s the Oilers and Avalanche for Game 2 in Colorado.  The Avs lead that series 1-0.

Tonight is the night, the Celtics head to Golden State to take on the Warriors in the NBA Finals.  The Celtics knocked off the heat to win the East and the Warriors beat the Mavs to take the West.  Tip off tonight is at 8PM.

It made sense to put John Madden on the cover of his namesake video game.  EA Sports revealed the details of the football hall of famer’s appearance on the upcoming Madden 23 video game. There will be three different covers highlighting different points in Madden’s life. Madden passed away last December at the age of 85.

Former Dallas Cowboys and Chicago Bears running back Marion Barber III has died. The team put out a statement that read: “We are heartbroken by the tragic death of Marion Barber III.  Marion was an old-school, hard-nosed football player who ran with the will to win every down. He had a passion for the game and love for his coaches and teammates. Our hearts go out to Marion’s family and friends during this difficult time.” Barber was drafted by Dallas in the fourth round of the 2005 NFL draft out of Minnesota. He was named to the Pro Bowl in 2007 despite not starting a game for a 13-3 team that finished with the best record in the NFC. He led the Cowboys with 975 yards rushing and 10 touchdowns that season. The cause of Barber’s death is unknown. He was 38 years old.

Christian Pulisic wasn’t too happy with the number of United States men’s national soccer supporters at Cincinnati’s TQL Stadium during a 3-0 victory over Morocco last night in the first of four World Cup warm-up matches in June.  Here is what he had to say after the win… Their next game is on Sunday against Uruguay at 4PM.

“Capital One’s The Match” was a close match between four of the best NFL quarterbacks. It came down to a final putt from Aaron Rodgers for the win.  Charles Barkley was one of the commentators, and he was pretty sure either Tom Brady, or his teammate Aaron Rodgers, was going to make the 15-footer.  Brady missed.  Here’s how it sounded. Brady and Rodgers beat Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen for the close win.  The charity raised money and meals for the hungry.

In his 59th meeting against rival Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal got the win in a four-hour, 12-minute battle in the quarterfinals of the 2022 French Open. The result brings their career head-to-head record even closer, with Djokovic leading 30 wins to Nadal’s 29. Nadal is two wins away from capturing his 22nd Grand Slam title, along with his 14th French Open title. He already won the first major of the year in January at the Australian Open, which made him the winningest men’s grand slam winner in tennis history. The “Big Three,” consisting of Nadal, Djokovic and Roger Federer, have won 60 of the last 72 grand slams.

The Commanders currently play in one of the league’s biggest stadiums, FedExField, which held more than 91,000 fans in the mid-2000s. That capacity and attendance have both dwindled over the last 10-plus years, and now it appears that the franchise plans to make the team’s potential new home stadium a much more intimate experience. The Commanders have conducted an economic impact analysis on a new stadium in Virginia, a project that projects to cost $3 billion. Per the report, the proposal calls for a 55,000-seat stadium, which would take over as the smallest in the league. The Bills’ new stadium is set to hold 60,000 fans, and will be the smallest in the NFL when built, but Washington’s venue would take over that title if built to the current proposal. Team president Jason Wright did not reject the idea when asked in an interview…he said: “We are much more likely to build the smallest venue in the NFL than the largest.”
