In addition to a "nanoberge", it will include a climbing center , a spa, a sauna, a coworking space, a café, a bistro and a shop specializing in climbing."It's a higher level project," said Frédérique Marseille, owner of Backbone in a press release. It meets all the needs measured in recent years in Bromont, a region similar to that of the North in its economic dynamics, local and tourist needs.»The project, which was originally due to see the light of day at the end of summer 2022, was postponed by the health crisis. The start of work is finally scheduled for April 2023. In the meantime, the project has received a grant of around $400,000 through the Tourism Industry Recovery Assistance Program. This sum is part of the overall budget that Frédérique Marseille estimates at nearly $2.4 million, including $800,000 for operations. The owner also plans to obtain an additional grant to add another “nanoberge” to the existing building in Bromont.
