Maurice Marciano — best known for cofounding the iconic Guess? clothing brand with his brothers Paul, Armand and Georges back in the early 1980s — has decided to sell his home in the posh Beverly Hills enclave of Trousdale Estates, asking a nearly $7 million premium over what he paid for the place some six years ago.

Designed by architect Paul McClean, the spec-built contemporary showpiece was purchased by Marciano for a speck under $21 million in 2016, shortly after it had been completely redone. Nestled behind gates, on over a half-acre parcel of land, the glass, steel and stone structure offers five bedrooms and eight baths in almost 11,000 square feet of two-level living space rife with floor-to-ceiling walls of glass providing seamless indoor-outdoor environs.

Glitzy amenities include a lower level relegated entirely to relaxation, complete with a movie theater, game room and wine cellar, plus a spa and wellness center replete with a gym, cold plunge, infrared sauna and steam room — all overlooking a snazzy sculpture-equipped water feature holding court just outside.

A walled courtyard boasts a striking translucent bridge spanning the water feature below on its way to the glassy front door. Once inside, a combined living/dining room area is accented by a massive linear fireplace and glass siders spilling out to an expansive terrace ideal for al fresco dining and entertaining. A spacious fireside family room connects to a sleekly designed kitchen outfitted with two islands and high-end appliances.

Long hallways lead to the sumptuous master retreat, which is adorned with a sitting area, fireplace and private patio, along with dual walk-in closets and spa-inspired baths; and outdoors, the inviting yet small backyard hosts a lap pool. There’s also an attached three-car garage out front.

Marciano, now in his 70s, has held several senior executive roles at Guess? during the past 30 years, most notably as CEO and chairman. He retired as an executive officer at the end of January 2012 and was replaced as non-executive chairman of the board in 2020 following a biking accident, but remains a board member. In addition to his for-sale Trousdale Estates property, Marciano also owns a Napa Valley winery in Saint Helena.

Kurt Rappaport of Westside Estate Agency and Branden Williams of The Beverly Hills Estates serve as the listing agents for the house, which is being shown only to prequalified clients.
