A house for sale in Melbourne’s southeast is sure to make a splash with its custom-designed glass wine cellar, infra-red sauna, pool and spa, outdoor shower and even a spiral staircase.

A Brighton house boasting a $25,000 custom-designed and built refrigerated glass wine cellar is attracting interest from buyers aspiring to live in the up-market suburb.

The four-bedroom property at 10 Bleazby Ave also features a heated pool, infinity spa, infra-red sauna, outdoor shower and barbecue area.

Fredman Property Group director Joel Fredman said the owners purchased the land and demolished a small home on the site, then commissioned Martin Friedrich Architects to build their dream house, completed in 2016.

Mr Fredman said the young family, who are now upsizing, were selling the impressive home with $4.2m-$4.5m price hopes.

He said there was “no expense spared” in constructing the house including the Vine & Vault-built wine cellar capable of holding about 100 bottles, three bathrooms, 3m-high ceilings, a gas fireplace and hydronic heated polished concrete.

“They have managed to include quite a lot of luxury features into 430sq m,” Mr Fredman said.

“There are a lot of physical features that attract the eye and there are lots of wow factors.”

The kitchen contains a walk-in pantry, two Miele ovens, a steam oven, combi-microwave, two warming drawers, a Miele dishwasher and Zip hydrotap.

“They (the owners) enjoy having people over for drinks and dinners, it is a great house for entertaining,” Mr Fredman said.

Another jaw-dropping feature is the spiral staircase.

“It’s a Martin Friedrich signature staircase, it’s has very solid, stunning curvature with a beautiful skylight above,” Mr Fredman added.

Families and downsizers have expressed interest in the home, including househunters from interstate, Ashburton and Caroline Springs.

“The majority of interested buyers are from out of the area, buyers that are trying to get into Brighton, including people who have recently come to Australia,” Mr Fredman said.

“It is a pretty prestigious place to live.”

He described the suburb’s attractions beaches, shops, schools and train stations as “brilliant”.

Mr Fredman said there was scope for further development of the house, pending council approval.

“It would rent very well, it’s timeless design, it’s one you could always add on to, it will look good for a long time and is one you could trick up,” he said.

The property will auctioned at 12pm on August 27.
